Dr. Pinkham attended the University of California in Santa Barbara earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences. After which, she completed extensive optometric education and training and earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1999.

Dr. Pinkham’s focus is on Primary Care Optometry with an emphasis on Ocular Disease, Contact Lenses and Dry Eyes. As a board-certified Optometrist, she is able to diagnose, treat, and manage diseases of the eye and use therapeutic and pharmacological agents. Dr. Pinkham is also certified to prescribe Restasis, specifically to address Dry Eye conditions. As a NVISION affiliate, Dr. Pinkham provides Laser Refractive surgery and Cataract surgery co-management.

Dr. Pinkham is also a certified in Integrative Nutrition, which means she takes a holistic approach to health and wellness.  Holistic means looking at how all areas of your life are connected.  She applies this aspect of her training to Nutrition and Eye Health.  Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”   Food is medicine.

Dr. Pinkham is able to conduct an eye exam in Spanish to accommodate her Spanish-speaking patients.
